METATRADER 4 · REST API

MT4 access.
Built into your app.

Connect a MetaTrader 4 account to your software. Read account data, send trade requests and stream broker prices through an authenticated HTTP API.

No customer-managed terminal or VPS. You bring the broker account.

Use workspace and account IDs from the console. Keep API keys on your server.

WHAT YOU CAN BUILD

One connection. Three useful building blocks.

01

Account data

Bring balances, equity, open orders and trade history into your dashboard or reporting tool. Query the broker’s symbol list before requesting prices.

02

Trading workflows

Send market, limit and stop orders. Modify orders, close positions and cancel pending orders. Read the saved operation to confirm the outcome.

03

Live updates

Subscribe to quote, order and profit updates using server-sent events. Authenticate with a Bearer token and use your broker’s exact symbol names.

FROM BROKER TO API

Connect the account you already have.

No separate brokerage account is opened with MetaBridgeAPI. Your funds and positions stay with your broker.

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up, confirm your email and create a workspace in the console.

  2. Connect MetaTrader 4

Select MT4, enter the account login, exact broker server name and trading password. Save the account, then select Connect.

  3. Activate access and create a key

Start the available demo trial or choose a paid plan. Give your integration only the account access and permissions it needs.

  4. Read before you trade

Use Explore data or the API playground to check the account summary and a quote. Practice trade requests on a demo account.

Details that matter for MT4 integrations.

MT4 supports market, limit and stop orders. A partial close can return a replacement ticket: use the returned remainingTicket for the position that remains. Pre-trade margin estimates are available through the MT4 API; actual execution is subject to broker checks.

Price history uses count-based bars. Quote, order and profit streams use HTTP server-sent events. Broker symbols may include suffixes, so discover symbols on the connected account rather than assuming a universal name.

Building for both platforms? See the MT5 API for MT5-specific order types and history queries.

Paid access supports selected demo and live accounts. Starter is $10 for one account per 30 days; larger plans cover multiple accounts. Compare plans.

Before your first request.

Is this an official MetaQuotes API?

No. MetaBridgeAPI is an independent service, not affiliated with, authorized by or endorsed by MetaQuotes. MetaTrader names identify compatible platforms. Read the disclaimer.

Can I try it without writing code?

Yes. After connecting and activating access, use Explore data in the console for account reads and streams. The API guide includes a playground where you can make requests with your own API key.

Does every broker accept the same request?

No. Your broker controls account access, symbols, trading hours, order sizes and execution. Start with a demo account and check the exact server and platform before connecting.
